About Us

We are Ilana Black and Hunter Manfredi, a husband and wife team of water safety specialists with over 20 years of experience committed to childhood drowning prevention. As local Floridians, we know all too well how important water safety is to children’s lives and as dog owners, we are also aware of pet safety around the pool!

Ilana has over 20 years of experience with Infant Swimming Resource as a Senior Master Instructor who has taught thousands of children aquatic self-rescue skills and trained and mentored many instructors. Hunter has 20 previous years of managerial experience in corporate America where he perfected his communication and customer service skills. We are the current owners of Affordable Child Safe Fence Inc and we have recently launched our new company – Sunshine Water Safety Inc.  SWS is a hub for water safety resources.

We are dedicated to educating families and helping them with a strong water safety plan that has multiple layers. We are happy to discuss your pool fence project and provide a free estimate.

I got to do it yourself fence and got halfway through before realizing that I was in way over my head. I called Hunter and he helped me out to salvage the situation. He was super helpful, timely, professional. I really wish I would have just called him from the start. If I have any more pool fence needs I will definitely call Hunter. I would give Hunter more than 5 stars if I could! He’s now installed 2 baby gates for us for our pools and without a doubt his biggest priority is the safety of our kids. He is so kind, flexible with scheduling and so easy to work with. Pricing is affordable and the resort style auto close gates are a game changer in the baby gate game. We had an excellent experience! It was easy to get an estimate and schedule install by text which as a busy mom I really appreciate. Hunter was very knowledgable and experienced.
