Inspired by the 2014 World Cup soccer tournament in Brazil, we thought it would be a great idea to have a goalkeeper punt a soccer ball into our pool fence.

While this video only shows a single punt, we actually had him punt the ball several times to get it ricochet off the fence for the boys to be able to head it back around to him. Probably about 10 punts in total and the fence and posts still help up strong. Not only did the posts not break, their resilient design caused them to bounce right back up straight and taut. Something you won’t see with competing aluminum fence posts.
So while you might not be punt soccer balls into your pool fence, you may have a friend lean on it at a BBQ or have a child ride their bike into it. This test should help you feel confident in the integrity of your pool fence and it’s support posts when you choose Protect-A-Child.
